Bendito

BENDITO pronounced (Behn-Dee-Toh) is a Dominican DJ/Producer born and raised in New York City. Being of Latin/Caribbean heritage and having a brother who was a Breakdancer / Rapper/ Producer, his diverse musical influences started young.  

The musical journey of "Bendito" naturally propelled him to pick up the guitar. In school he played classical guitar then joined local Indie Rock and Bachata bands in NYC; but, cuisine was his first true passion. The experience to cook in different kitchens throughout New York City and in the countryside of France (Alsace) was all a pivotal moment for Benji “Bendito”. To travel the world and tell a story in just a bite influenced him. The exposure of all the rich and diverse cultures and subcultures while traveling truly inspired him. This inspiration is reflected in his sound, expanding his sonic palette through electronic music and defining his “UK Funky” eclectic style.  

With an upbringing in the party/club scene of Brooklyn and Queens, Deep House and Garage House are the foundations of his music. Soulful Afro/Latin sounds are rinsed in his blends in a groovy demeanor tossed with subtle breakbeat kicks for an upbeat, deep, moody resonance to taste. Bendito loves to engage with the crowd by taking them on a world tour of providing the best tones/vibes that might strike an individual's background.   

Playing in various clubs/venues and parties across New York City, Montreal CA and overseas in Europe, Bendito has gained recognition in the scene. He plans to bridge music and cuisine in future endeavors working closely with local Artists / Djs, Chefs and Mixologists. Currently, he is mixing his first official Ep “Living to Disco” to be released soon and his 3rd tour YERRRUP in Europe come Summer 2025.
